You’d never imagined that the apt used to be a workers' quarters. Dingy and gross. We gutted it, opened up the otherwise dimly lit space. We created an open kitchen. Put in wide and tall windows so apt will be lit by natural light. And that, coupled with a 3.3m high ceiling, the space is light, bright and airy. Plaster was painstakingly removed to expose the beautiful red bricks & beams adding a cool factor to the space. The white epoxied floor down-played the whole industrial feel. We re-did the electrical & plumbing, put in a completely new kitchen fitted out with 3-burner stove, hood & oven. There’s still room for an island or counter if you’d like. Having one by the windows kinda makes a nice little breakfast nook. I love how the bathroom is configured and designed. I like the marbling effect of the tiles and we purposely had the tiles in shower cut into thin, long slates for a subtle contrast against the rest of the bathroom. It’s sleek and sharp.

There’s a little outdoor space right at the back where you can have a grill for your occasional dinner parties.
Or create a little deck for sunbathing!
